Winter parking ban today (Sunday) at 3 pm
City of Ottawa has implementing a winter parking ban on city streets starting at 3 pm today.
According to Coucnillar Leiper, the City is working “with by-law to ensure that tickets will only go out on streets that have not been plowed by that time. If the street hasn't been plowed by 3 pm, don't park on it or risk a ticket. “
Rink is open! Learn to Skate Tuesdays from 4 to 5pm
The Laroche Park rink is open! Thanks to Keith Brown and his family for maintaining our rink for decades! SWCHC have lined up the Learn to Skate program on Tuesdays from 4 to 5pm. Lights are on and the ice condition is excellent. Drop by with a shovel after any snowfall to help keep it clear!

There will be a Community Appreciation for Constable Neilly, former Community Police Officer for Mechanicsville on Sunday, January 18th 1pm to 3pm at the Hintonburg Community Centre. Drinks and cookies to be served. MCA is preparing a slide show of photos, send any photos you have!
